Visiting from outta town and read in a couple forums that this place is the place to go for fried chicken, and I agree. Top 5 best fried chicken I’ve ever had. It is drive thru only, and the inside is only open for DoorDash and pick up. Staff was nice. Ordered the 2 piece plate that came with 3 potato wedges and roll, 10 piece hot honey wings, small side of Mac n cheese, and small side of collard greens. The sides were okay, but the chicken was on point. The collard greens were a little bitter, and the Mac n cheese was good, but not amazing. Also ordered a side of corn bread. It was a little too soft for my liking, but delicious nonetheless the less. Would definitely come back again. Fried chicken: 5/5 Hot honey wings: 4.5/5 Mac n cheese: 3/5 Greens: 2/5 Corn bread: 4/5

Best chicken in Louisville. Super juicy and tender. Mac and cheese was alright for someone who doesn’t care too much for it. The broccoli casserole is amazing. Pictured is the keel dinner. Huge pieces. Enough for two people. Super affordable prices

Who cares about anything else when the food tastes the way it does? I don't mind a paper and tape covered menu and an unwelcoming robbery-proof drive-thru window when the food tastes like it comes from the buffet table of a Greek god

We got a 8 piece box of regular and spicy. The regular was fresh and quite tasty. Good flavor and nicely fried. The spicy I didn’t like too much but still decent. Rolls and mash potatoes were good, but the mac&cheese was ok. They only do drive-thru but wait time was about 20 mins for us. Prices are fair and staff was friendly!

The service was excellent. The food service was good. The chicken was also very good. I like the fact that you walk in and you don't have to wait very long to get your food. We didn't eat there. We took our food to go so I couldn't have in comment about the atmosphere in general. But the service was great and the people were friendly.

I love their Fried Chicken!! I tried few fried chicken places when I traveled to Louisville few months ago, and Chicken King is one of the best one there!! They actually have a lot of selection there, and they are quite popular for local I think. Because there is always customers coming in and out to order AND they have a long line up for drive thru!! A must try if you are visiting to Louisville and I recommend to buy drive thru if you are not the local people there.

The FIRST place I go to when I fly home to Louisville. I currently live in Texas and I crave their spicy chicken all the time. Nothing compares. Nothing beats The Chicken King.
